About the Bookworm Bookshop
Since 1568, The Bookworm Bookshop has offered rare and hard-to-find titles accompanied by a hot serving of Apple Compote, all for the hungry reader. The Bookworm offers:
- Friendly, knowledgeable, and courteous help
- Steaming hot bowls of our own original recipe Stu's Apple Compote with the purchase of any book
- Free water and day old bread for any customers merely browsing
- A well-lit reading room for those who buy books, those merely browsing are shown to the dungeon
- Four friendly cannibals: Esmerelda, Catherine, Dulcinea and Beatrice
Our hours are 10am to 9pm weekdays, noon to 7

Upcoming Events
- The Wednesday Evening Book Review meets, appropriately, on Wednesday evenings at 7 pm for Compote and a round-table dissection... er.. discussion. Call the Bookworm for information on joining the group.
- The Children's Hour happens every Saturday at 1 pm and includes boiling, broiling, baking and frying. Our delicious original recipe Apple Compote is served!
- Carole Fenney will be at the Bookworm on Sunday, January 19, to read from her book of poems Spiders in the Web.
- The Bookworm will be closed March 1st to remove the sticky stuff from the kitchen walls and ceiling. We'll reopen one week later on March 8th with a fresh batch of our delicious original recipe Apple Compote. Bring your children!
