did you know that women in the czech republic are supposed to retire earlier depending on the number of children they have?
i didn't. but my students told me that this morning. how weird and completely sexist!
i mean, does it operate on an exponential scale? so, if you have one child, you retire a month early. two children and it's two months early. three children and it's four months early. twelve children and it's 170 years and 8 months early?! or is it a sliding scale?!
on a different note, it's been bloody hot and i don't have a fan. i'm thinking about taking up a collection for a fan for my flat. (that's a joke, please don't send money. but if you do, i only take sums divisible by 100.)
it hailed quite unabashedly today too. i'm talking a good-sized lintball-sized hail. i'm talking painful to be out walking in it because there are comets falling from the sky.
on a different note, my team finished in fifth at a high level tournament this weekend, and we only lost one game by two points. sheesh.
on a different note, i'm immigrating to old north whales. that's right. "whales".
on a final note, i'm obviously in a very weird mood. (methinks i've been in this bloody school way too bloody long today and i'm speaking way too bloody much bloody british bloody english, bloody 'ell.)
