Icky

It's about time I was sick. I went through all winter, more or less, without so much as the occasional sniffle.

Now I'm about to collapse from illness.

Hrmph. Oh well. I was overdo for a good wintertime cold.

And now back to my tea...

After the Show

Another thing happened last night, immediately after the recording session.

And I'm still kicking myself. But things, or rather, somebody got in the way.

As I was waiting for the engineer to show back up again - he had run next door to find his next client - I stood gazing up and down the street. Almost immediately outside the front door of his studio, there is a bus stop.

A bus went by, number 270. That was fine.

The engineer had yet to return. I needed to catch a bus.

And a girl who I had noticed before walked up to me and asked me, in Czech, if bus 136 had passed.

"No." I said.

Just then, the engineer walked up with his next client. I met his next client and told them both goodbye. The girl, however, stood around.

136 showed up and we both hopped on. She went around this guy who was standing in the aisle. I had a big bag and the guy wouldn't let me around. The girl and I kept exchanging glances. But then that stopped.

And I got off the bus because it was going the absolute wrong direction. Ha.

But as I walked by the bus, our eyes met again and it was one of those moments like "Wait. Wait. Where are you going?"

But I kept going.

That has been in my mind, foreground or background since it happened. Heh.

Business Plan - Day 020/First Session

My first recording session went down last night. It was preliminary, so there is nothing for you to hear.

Plus, I wouldn't want to give away my product just yet. That would be a not-so-good idea.

Plus the tracks are raw right now - that is: unedited.

It will happen though. Soon.

The engineer is a nice guy too. Now I just need to start scheduling blocks and blocks of time. In 1 hour chunks.

Falling in Place

Pieces, things, stuff - it's all falling into place. My life is about to get much busier. Much.

My knees are substantially better. So much so that I played ultimate frisbee for 3 and a half hours on Sunday. I probably should have cut that in half, but I was having so much fun that it was hard to stop.

I'm optimistic that I'll be in the recording studio for the first time at the end of this week.

My friends and I are organizing a Prague-wide scavenger hunt, which should be fun. We're going to open it to the public. I'll post more about that as it comes about. We have everything pretty much ready outside of setting up a registration website.
