An unexpected "Thank You"

I give thanks for blog spam comments.

Ok, not in general, but today's horribly misspelled comment about a gambling website or some kind of "totally 100% natural herbal physiological enhancement" or what I am sure is a tasteful artistic exploration of the nude human form in the grand tradition of Michelangelo did remind me that I haven't posted here in a while.

So thank you Monsieur or Mademoiselle Comment Spammer for bringing my attention back in the few minutes I have before my workday starts.

I made it back from my Midwest whirlwind tour and the New Year has started off very well. I am getting back into performance mode in the ensemble of a production of The Merry Widow. I have my applications mostly done for two M.A. programs at the university where I work (Yay tuition remission benefits!). And because I need a third things when making lists, I am following through on my resolve to join the university gym.

I am, however, ready for the end of winter. These "pitch dark by 4:45 in the afternoon" things are getting old. I wouldn't call it Seasonal Affective Disorder, yet, more like Seasonal Annoyance Disorder. Enough with the night already. I feel like I'm in Norway, only without the socialized health care and the corresponding summer white nights.
