Unapologetic Update

It seems that every post I make starts out with "Wow. It has been a long time since I posted last...", so from here on out, I will dispense with such obvious observations and commence with the commentary.

Since we last talked, gentle reader, I have:

seen many shows (1 Off-Broadway depressing but amazing show on genocides throughout the century, 1 Broadway thought provoker about the religious and wholly worldly powers of doubt, 1 cabaret performance by my favorite German chanteuse, 1 evening of performances by law students, 1 less than well-mixed Nerdcore Hip-Hop show filled with more overweight goateed men than any other hip-hop show you will ever see),

rehearsed for my upcoming operetta (singing and ballroom dancing! YAY! It is as if Lehar knew my strengths and wrote a show specifically for me!),

applied for and (shhh!) unofficially was accepted to (at least one of the two) M.A. programs to study Drama, Music, Performance and Social Change,

played New York ambassador to a few friends from the Minnesota (by way of various cities),

finally met a friend of my grandparents who lives not four blocks from me and joined her at a birthday party for an artist friend of hers,

joined the gym at the University (and actually found time to go a few times),

went to an inspirational lecture by a practitioner of Boal's Theatre of the Oppressed in Brazil (learned that I won't be able to afford to go to Boal's workshop this spring both in terms of time away from work and of cost),

worked, worked, worked, worked, and worked.
