Rehearsals, classes and work have kept me busy the past couple months. Although busy, there isn't much to write about. How many times can you write: tonight I ran home from work, read a little for my class, ran to rehearsal, then came home and went to bed?
But this weekend, I am going to see the most brilliant idea for a stage musical based on a movie! No, not The Wedding Singer, not Hairspray, nor The Producers, not Legally Blonde, High Fidelity, Mary Poppins, Monty Python's Spamalot, Disney's Tarzan, The Lion King, Beauty and the Beast or even Grey Gardens. (Nor is it one of the two Broadway musicals this is not a jukebox greatest hits of fill in the blank pop music group, or a revival of a Broadway show from the 80s).
Nope, this weekend I am going to see Evil Dead: The Musical! Based on the wonderful, deep, epic trilogy by Sam Raimi, in which the main character is a chin (ok, not really, the main character is a combination of corn syrup, non-dairy creamer, and red food coloring)
